Privacy Notice

Deceased back to life is operated by Mobixxx ("we", "us"). Mobixxx is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide why and how your data is processed.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data — your email address and login credentials, used to create and secure your account.
• Memorial content — photos, voice recordings, biographies, memories and chat messages you add about a loved one, used to provide the service.
• Support messages — anything you send us when asking for help.
• Usage and device data — basic telemetry, device identifiers and IP address, used for security, fraud prevention and product improvement.

• Providing the service (account, memorials, conversations, voice features) — performance of our contract with you.
• Security and fraud prevention — legitimate interests.
• Product improvement — legitimate interests.
• Customer support — performance of contract.
• Meeting legal obligations — legal obligation.

Content about your loved ones can be deeply personal. Your conversations and recordings remain private and are not used for advertising. If you explicitly publish a memorial, its shared photo, dates, timeline and approved guest memories become publicly visible until you turn sharing off.

• Service providers — hosting, database, AI and voice-processing providers that help us run Deceased back to life, bound by data-processing agreements.
• Paddle — our Merchant of Record. If you make a purchase, Paddle processes your payment data for the sale, subscription management, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where needed.
• Authorities — where required by law.

Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Account deletion is handled by request to Mobixxx, not an automatic in-app action. Data is deleted or anonymised when no longer required, unless retained for a legal obligation. Cancelling a paid subscription does not delete your memorials.

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level isolation so only you can read your memorial data.

We use essential cookies and local storage only — to keep you signed in and run the app. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. You can clear them in your browser settings, though signing in will no longer persist.
